Tetra Tech provides design-build services for new and upgraded onsite wastewater treatment facilities through more than 200 offices nationwide. Our innovative solutions range from advanced individual septic systems for locations where traditional systems are not appropriate to clustered units serving multiple units at new developments. Most importantly, Tetra Tech can design and implement long-term management programs to help new developments meet increasingly stringent requirements for restoring or protecting sensitive receiving waters near sensitive streams, rivers, wetlands, or coastal areas. US EPA's recently released septic system management guidelines will likely be the basis for management programs in the future.
We assist our clients from government and the development community with cutting-edge technology like sequencing batch reactors, recirculating sand/media filters, constructed wetlands, aesthetically pleasing lagoon systems, and other treatment approaches. Tetra Tech provided support to the US EPA's Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems Manual and the Decentralized Wastewater Systems Management Handbook. We have also helped dozens of cities, counties, and states in developing watershed assessments, pollutant loading models, and storm water management programs. We provide technical services for NPDES permitting, NEPA reviews, and a wide range of other environmental and natural resource management approaches.
Our services are based on a holistic watershed approach to address complex water quality issues across broad geographic areas. We offer customized onsite/decentralized wastewater assessment, planning, and management services to meet the specific needs and regional conditions of our clients.
