Responsibilities: Tetra Tech, the national leader in watershed management and sustainable water practices, is actively pursuing a senior stormwater management engineer for its Sustainable Practices Design Group to support municipal, state, federal and private projects involving stormwater management, stream restoration, water quality and watershed management studies in the southeast and throughout the nation. The successful candidate will work closely with Tetra Techs national watershed, stormwater, restoration, and TMDL experts to perform engineering work, manage projects, mentor junior staff, and lead or support business development activities. Responsibilities will include: " Lead or support watershed management engineering for projects or tasks involving watershed management planning, stormwater master planning, sustainable stormwater management practices design, stream and wetland restoration planning and design, geomorphology. " Serve as Project Manager, task leader, or expert on specific tasks or projects, including managing schedules, budgets, and quality. " Support business development efforts by leading or assisting in proposal development and marketing activities. " Help build a diverse engineering/planning group and mentor junior staff.

Experience Requirements: The successful candidate will have a background and degree in water resources or environmental engineering, 8 - 15 years related experience, and a P.E. License in NC (or reciprocal state) at minimum. Education and demonstrated work experience related to supporting and managing projects involving all or some of the following: watershed planning, stormwater planning, green engineering including low impact development or smart site design, BMP design, stream stability analyses, and/or stream and wetland restoration design. Experience and education with hydrologic and water quality models (particularly HEC, SWMM/XPSWMM). Because position will support development of technical products, tools, support documents, and training materials, excellent written skills are required.

The San Diego, CA office has immediate openings for motivated water resources engineers with 3 to 7 years experience to support state, federal and municipal projects involving water quality planning, watershed management, storm water management, BMP design and assessment, and TMDL development and implementation planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and programmatic support on a variety of watershed and water quality management projects. This position supports a variety of water resources projects within Tetra Tech and requires a professional with the demonstrated ability to work well with others as a member of the team.

Experience Requirements: The successful candidate will have a background and degree in water resources or environmental engineering. Education and work experience related to stormwater management and planning, BMP evaluation and conceptual design, and watershed planning preferred. To be considered, the candidate should possess the following: at least 2 years related experienceadvanced degree preferred; demonstrated experience providing technical support for projects involving TMDL development or implementation planning or watershed planning. Because position will support development of technical products, tools, support documents, and training materials, excellent written skills are required. Experience with EPA, state, or municipal (city/county) projects preferred. Experience with or understanding of Clean Water Act regulations, specifically related to water quality standards, TMDL development, nonpoint source control, and permitting. The successful candidate must be proficient in the use of GIS and other technical analysis software. A CA PE or PE-track preferred.

The Atlanta, GA office is currently seeking a water resources engineer or scientist. The successful candidate must have at least a bachelors degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or environmental science. The candidate must have course work in hydrology/hydraulics, water chemistry, and watershed management with some knowledge of watershed modeling, storm water management, and database management. This position requires participation in a highly motivated team that provides innovative environmental solutions for federal, state, and local agencies throughout the United States.

Experience Requirements: Required skills: The successful candidate will have a background and degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or environmental science. Qualified individuals should be motivated, familiar with environmental regulations, experienced in field work including working with construction contractors. Other necessary skills include reviewing laboratory data, report preparation, and must possess the ability to perform efficiently in delivering only high quality products. Tetra Tech is looking for self-motivated individuals and a demonstrated ability to lead project work tasks. Must be an effective communicator, highly motivated, a critical thinker and problem solver, detail-oriented, organized, and a team player with strong focus on quality.
