For the past 20 years, Tetra Tech has supported all aspects of developing and implementing the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program under the Clean Water Act at the federal, state, and local levels. Our experience includes developing both individual and general NPDES permits, as well as providing implementation support for specific program elements such as pretreatment requirements, biosolids standards, wet weather requirements (provisions regulating combined sewer overflows, sanitary sewer overflows, and stormwater discharges), and concentrated animal feeding operation (CAFO) requirements. We're also supporting the development of national technology-based wastewater discharge standards for a number of nonmunicipal discharge categories (e.g., meat processing, aquaculture).
